2003 Project Achievement Award Nominations Now Being Accepted
The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) is now accepting nominations for the prestigious Construction Management Project Achievement Awards until July 1, 2003. The annual Awards program, which will be presented at the CMAA Industry Recognition Dinner held on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at the Grand Hyatt Washington Center, Washington, DC, recognizes excellence in the management of the construction process. CMAA\' s Project Achievement Awards Committee Chairman Bob Hixon of the U.S. General Services Administration says, "The goal of the awards program is to identify and honor those projects which promote and reflect CMAA\'s mission, to promote professionalism and excellence in the management of the construction process. These awards stand as important examples to the construction industry to help us define and recognize the value professional CMs bring to a project." The competition is open to all CMAA members and nonmembers. The Award Committee will consider project outcomes, overall project management, safety, quality management, cost management, schedule management, project complexity, innovation and creativity, and customer satisfaction as the basis for the award. Nominated projects must have been completed by June 30, 2003. CMAA will recognize projects completed in the United States and abroad in the following categories:
