Based on CMAA’s Body of Knowledge, the Online Professional CM (PCM) Course is a comprehensive, self-paced, eLearning course offered over 30 days. This valuable learning opportunity focuses on construction management core competencies and will benefit those wanting sound basic construction management skills, as well as more experienced professionals seeking a refresher or continuing education. It is also recommended by CMAA as effective preparation* for the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) exam.

Students will receive access to 11 self-paced modules consisting of video presentations, knowledge check questions and activities, and pre- and post-tests. Instruction covers professional practice, program & project management, contract administration, time management (with lab), quality management, cost management & value engineering, safety & risk management, BIM, and sustainability.

*There are no required materials or courses to prepare for the CCM exam and participation in this course does not guarantee a passing exam score. Please review the CCM Applicant Handbook (available under CCM Applicant Resources) for additional information.

Educational Credit: 

Course participants earn 22 PDHs. PDH certificates can be accessed electronically by the participant through their CMAA account. Partial credit is not assigned. All 11 modules of the course must be completed to receive credit.


A credit value is assigned to CMAA courses and seminars in Professional Development Hours. CMAA guarantees that course materials meet the requirements for a PDH, which is 60 minutes of instruction, or increments thereof.  


Not all courses and educational activities offered be acceptable for continuing education credit in your state. Please check your state licensing board’s requirements before submitting your credits.
