This session of the PCM Course will be held in-person in conjunction with CMAA2021. CMAA will be following CDC and local guidelines with regards to occupancy and safety measures. Registration for this event is limited.
Based on CMAA’s Body of Knowledge, the Professional CM (PCM) Course is a comprehensive, live, instructor-led course offered over three full days. This valuable learning opportunity focuses on construction management core competencies and will benefit those wanting sound basic construction management skills, as well as more experienced professionals seeking a refresher or continuing education. It is also recommended by CMAA as effective preparation* for the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) exam.
The live instruction covers professional practice, program & project management, contract administration, time management (with lab), quality management, BIM, sustainability, cost management & value engineering, and safety & risk management.
*There are no required materials or courses to prepare for the CCM exam and participation in this course does not guarantee a passing exam score. Please review the CCM Applicant Handbook (available under CCM Applicant Resources) for additional information.

If for some reason you are unable to attend, you may transfer to another in-person or Virtual course at no additional charge within 12 months of the course you originally registered for or you may receive a refund of your original registration rate, less a $350 charge to cover the cost of the supplemental materials: Study Kit, CM eGlossary, and CCM Practice Exam. Supplemental materials are non-refundable, but will remain yours to access in your CMAA online account. Refund or transfer requests must be made at least 15 days prior to the course start date. No transfers or refunds will be made within 14 days of the course start date. Name substitutions can be made at any time.
You will receive a course workbook on-site at the start of the course. You will receive an email with instructions for accessing the electronic Study Kit, CM eGlossary, and CCM Practice Exam.
Course participants earn 24 PDHs and/or 24 LUs. All AIA reports and NCEES transcripts can be accessed electronically by the participant. Partial credit is not assigned. All 3 days of the course must be completed to receive credit.
A credit value is assigned to CMAA courses and seminars in both Professional Development Hours and Learning Units. CMAA guarantees that course materials meet the requirements for a PDH, which is 60 minutes of instruction, or increments thereof.
CMAA is registered with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as an approved CES provider of Learning Units (LU). One educational contact hour equals one (1) LU. To receive LUs through CMAA, you must provide your AIA member number on all registration materials and attendance forms. Transcripts are available through www.aia.org.
CMAA is a registered provider of continuing education for the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).Transcripts and certificates are available through the NCEES/ACEC Registered Continuing Education Program (RCEP) at www.rcep.net. All transcripts are reported based on the email address provided to CMAA when you completed the online attendance form or the email address you used to register for an event.
Not all courses and educational activities offered be acceptable for continuing education credit in your state. Please check your state licensing board’s requirements before submitting your credits.
