An Airport First, A Construction Site Second: Overcoming Logistical Challenges

An Airport First

The coordination complexities associated with different scopes of work taking place in and around a project will vary. This session explores valuable insight into the scenarios that developed and the methods utilized by the team overseeing the Tampa International Airports, Master Plan (Phase 1) Projects. It can become challenging when an active program requires construction of multiple projects, by separate Design Build Contracts, all wanting to work in the same square foot. Now include the logistics of the traveling public, tenants in and around the project site, firm airline schedules, limited work hours, and managing the schedule to construct $1 Billion dollars of work in a 2-year period.
