The Sustainability Subcommittee is an ad-hoc subcommittee of the Professional Development Committee. The subcommittee’s primary responsibility is to keep the Professional Development Committee apprised of the evolution of sustainability and how it may impact the industry.
Purpose, goals, and desired outcomes:
Advise the Professional Development Committee on sustainability issues, develop a policy statement about sustainability, propose policy statement(s) on resiliency, and identify core responsibilities for resiliency assessment during constructability review. The committee shall be responsible for identifying needs and providing ongoing educational information to keep members informed on issues relating to sustainability and resiliency in the construction industry.
One year, no term limits.
Monthly committee calls (1-2 hours); attendance at one or both conferences; additional 1-2 hours per month.
CMAA member in good standing.
Knowledge of CMAA Sustainability Guidelines and general knowledge of sustainability, energy, climate adaptation, and resiliency planning in the construction industry and future trends. Interest in education programs preferred.

Progress against charge(s); as reported to the board.
