Trust builds organizational culture, builds collaborative teams, enhances quality, and improves reputations. Absent reciprocal trust, productivity is dampened due to infighting, misaligned motives, and at times, even sabotage. Construction managers must bridge the great divide produced by the experience silos found throughout the built environment. Not only do they have to hone their CM expertise, they must understand, have empathy for, and earn the trust of all those involved in project teams, as well as within their own organizations.
