CMAA's Standards of Practice and Global Trends in Construction Disputes

SOP and Global Trends

Construction managers have significant impact on the potential occurrence and resolution of construction claims and disputes on a project. Arcadis' Global Construction Disputes Report identifies causes and trends in global construction disputes. The report is not just of interest to those already involved in a dispute, but also to those who want to avoid or mitigate disputes. The reported factors and causes of disputes will be compared to best practices as defined in the CMAA Standards of Practice and the Claims Management Guideline to identify the construction management tasks and activities which can directly impact disputes and claims occurrence resolution. Trends related to the causes and amounts of disputes globally will be presented, followed by a look forward in the market to discover potential drivers of future disputes.
