San Antonio: How Design and Construction have Transformed the Community

San Antonio

San Antonio, a city rich with history and culture, just celebrated its 300-year anniversary. Since the 2020 CMAA Spring Conference will be held in San Antonio, presenters would like to help attendees learn how the projects of the last two decades transformed the city by supporting the community, the arts, and the economy. San Antonio is now one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas. This panel will discuss how city and county staff, designers, construction managers, and construction professionals worked together to understand the "big picture" of creating public spaces, free to all, that encourage support of a culturally rich, sustainable, and active city center.
