[Chapter] Abernethy Bridge Construction Site Tour

Come tour the I-205 Improvements for the Abernethy Bridge. Improvements will strengthen the Abernethy Bridge to withstand a major earthquake and accommodate a future third travel lane. Once complete, the bridge will be the first earthquake-ready highway structure across the Willamette River in the Portland metropolitan region.

 The construction phase is well underway with foundation work nearing completion as the team gets ready to move the existing main span superstructure later this year.
