The new 315,000-square-foot Omaha Public Schools (OPS) Westview High School thrives in its public-private-partnership with the YMCA of Greater Omaha. The 92-acre, two-story high school and connected YMCA building serves up to 1,500 students in grades 9-12. Knowing that Westview was one of the first high schools to be constructed by OPS in over 50 years, Jacobs led the selection of architectural firms with a focus on developing 21st century expectations. To develop a more predictable and certain project outcome, Jacobs led OPS’s transition from a traditional design-bid-build project delivery method to a CMAR delivery model.
