Soldier Canyon Filter Plant Expansion

This 15-million-gallon per day expansion project had some unique challenges, including phasing, footprint, and the overall scope of work included. The initial project team, SCWTA, Ditesco, and Stantec, saw the opportunity to build improvements across all aspects of the treatment process. This proved to be extremely challenging in the design process to prioritize what improvements were needed most and what could be maintained within the water districts’ separate maintenance and non-expansion capital improvements budgets.
