Teaching Volunteer

Purpose, goals, and desired outcomes:
CMAA needs the training expertise of professional CMs to offer our state-of-the-practice programs to meet the in-person and online educational needs of construction managers. If you have the knowledge and dedication to the construction management profession, desire to advance the profession and strong presentation skills, this opportunity offers prestige, networking opportunities, recognition from peers, and CCM Recertification Points.

Duration:
Indefinite. Filling out this application will add you to the instructor pool for two years. After which, you will be asked if you wish to remain in the pool and provide updated volunteer information.

Time commitment:
Varies. Volunteers will be contacted by CMAA to determine availability and interest to teach specific courses/locations as courses are scheduled. These educational opportunities can be done face-to-face or in online settings.

Eligibility:
Open to CMAA members and non-members.

Requirements:
Public speaking, knowledge of CMAA Standards of Practice and general knowledge of design and construction. CCM and/or CMAA Authorized Trainer preferred.

Key success measurements:
Course attendees fill out an evaluation form focusing on knowledgeability and presentation skills.

Resources available to complete the project or task:
Presentations and ancillary materials for the course are provided by CMAA.
